Unlocking your Mind: A Journey to Self Discovery
Step away from the stressors of daily life and fully immerse yourself in the therapeutic process. We will use Ketamine and experiential therapy to break through the stuck places to find more freedom, peace, and motivation!
What is Ketamine?
Ketamine is a medication that is commonly used in hospitals as an anesthetic and pain reliever. It works by blocking certain receptors in the brain and spinal cord, leading to a dissociative state and a feeling of detachment from one’s surroundings. It can temporarily alter a client’s perception and consciousness offering opportunities to explore thoughts and emotions in new ways. It is thought to increase the “plasticity” of the brain for short periods of time from days up to weeks and we use it in psychotherapy because it can help clients achieve a state of increased introspection and openness.
What can Ketamine do for me?
Improve Mood
Ketamine has been shown to have rapid and powerful anti-depressant and mood stabilizing effects which can be seen within hours or days of treatment, not weeks or months as with anti-depressant medications.
Reduce Anxiety
Ketamine is thought to create changes in the brain’s glutamate system, which plays a role in regulating mood, anxiety, and PTSD symptoms. This can generally improve quality of life and help you become unstuck.
Enhance Insight
Ketamine causes altered states of consciousness that can lead to enhanced creativity, insights, and awareness. This supports new perspectives on your relationships and experiences and fertile ground for change.

2 Ketamine Journeys
Participants will prepare and journey together in a group context. Alongside other group members, you will be in your own experience with eye shades, headphones, and your own little nest. Each client will be assigned a “sitter” who will support you and make sure you are safe and comfortable.
Healthy Meals
We will eat as a group, sharing conversation or silence. Food will be vegetarian, with gluten and dairy-free options. Fruits and snacks will be available throughout the day. If you have more specific dietary needs, please let us know!
Sink into therapy
Away from your daily responsibilities, you will have space to deepen into your therapy process. The luxury of time allows us to explore without pressure. Weekly therapy requires an opening and closing down of deeper emotional processing in order to do life. What would you do with sustained attention to your inner world?
Support in Community
Therapy in groups offers a unique set of support and experience. You may notice a decrease in feelings of isolation as connections are made with other members. Often new perspectives are found as the sharing evolves throughout the retreat. Maybe you can catch a glimpse of the beauty others see in you!
Experiential Therapy
You will be invited to engage in active modalities to deepen and integrate your retreat experiences. Some possibilities are art-making, writing, using psychodrama and role-playing techniques, movement, and meditation.
Gentle Yoga or Woods Walks
Each day you will have to opportunity to engage in a yoga flow. Yoga offers a gentle way to inhabit your body. If yoga is not for you, you may want to take a walk outside.
Retreat Program
Details are subject to change, but overall, this is what you can expect!
Upon receiving your registration, if the retreat is an appropriate fit for you, we will send you an invoice for $400 to hold your place. Then, we will refer you to our medication provider, Journey Clinical, for an evaluation to determine your eligibility for Ketamine treatments. If approved, you will receive a prescription in the mail which you will bring with you to our retreat.
We also ask that participants stay with us for the entirety of the retreat, including overnight. If you are unable to do that, we ask that you wait for another time when that is feasible.
